Forester’s door feels a little lighter than CX5 but only a little. What’s the reason for that?īoth CX5 and Forester’s door feel heavier. I saw some complaints about Subaru’s eyesight system, but I do not have any experience about that.īy the way, when opening the door, some other car’s door feel very light. Arguably, this is the first year of the CX50, it might have different bugs. Parts availability: it seems CX5 was not great in this? But since CX50 is made in Alabama, this might improve? not talking about MPG as that depends a lot on driver and road conditions touch screen: initially I think Subaru’s touch screen is better but later I think it is better to have a different way to change settings instead of requiring you to use touch screen exclusively Interior quality: this could be very subjective but I feel CX5 has better interior quality. Subaru is also better in front visibility as the driver position is a little higher Subaru is better when look over your shoulders AT vs CVT: seems many do not like CVT and think it is less reliable?ĭriving experience: did not test drive either yet. Forester has more space, esp the second row Subaru has slightly better ground clearance: 8.7 vs 8.3 Safety features: both are great but seems CX50 has more features But looks like CX5 and Subaru have same safety rating. Safety rating: no safety rating for CX50 yet as it is new. Both are great vehicles so likely no wrong choice.īut would like to get some opinion from the sub to help me make a choice when I am able to see the real CX50 in dealership.
